Does anyone know what the weight amount is for the censor to recgonize that something/someone is seated and therefore the seatbealt light appears? I am asking because sometime when my dog (50 lbs) is in the car, the censor recgonizes the weight and the seatblet light appears. I was just curious how much wieght will set off the censor....I am curious in particular because I had my purse (with school books) on my seat this morning and the light went off! Just curious, thanks for the answers!

5lb lol

you can set them off by simply pressing your hand into the seat in the area where the sensor is.

quit trying to fool the seat belt sensor since its apparently annoying you with its incessant noise and you like to ride around without a seatbelt on.

if you try to unhook the sensor in the seat bottom, you'll just set off the SRS light and if you get in an accident. any injuries you receive will be written off by the insurance company as vehicle tampering...

just wear your seatbelt.

and yes, I know a way to bypass it effectively but I'm not telling you as I wont be involved with safety violations.
