I love my Scion XB. It's the most comfortable car I've ever been able to squeeze my 6-foot-5 frame into, with an amazing amount of head room, in addition to comfortable passenger space and great fuel economy.
There's one problem, though. My windshield has cracked for the second time in 20 months, both times resulting from the impact of small pebbles thrown up by other vehicles on superhighways. I suspect that this might be the dirty little secret of the car--that the expansive, upright windshield is particularly vulnerable to cracking.
Has anybody else had similar problems with the XB? Any advice on how to avoid forking out $500 to replace windshields every 18-20 months?
