well alot of peoply say the scion tc is slow?

im a teen lukn for cars and this is one of my choices 05-09 it doesnt matter...i want automatic and im not into racing and donuts but they say its a real slow car?

also is it a good car for a 16 year old to about the age of 24 going thru high school and college
