So I have a 2005 Scion xA that is in the process of an iST JDM conversion. I'm looking for an performance exhaust kit that wont sound like a fart cannon and hopefully a full turbo kit or full intake kit . I also need a good website for Scion xA parts. Id love some help from some fellow Scion xA lovers. I'm also curious if anyone has heard of engine swaps on xAs. Thank you!

Honestly Performance exhaust for a scion? most of the "performance" exhaust kits out there are full of crap. You could get a whole kit but it would cost quite a bit and you would have to replace the whole system, and you may not have room for it. (most exhausts save room by having all the ports go into one collecter than one pipe, while kits that reduce this consume some room). The turbo sound your lookin for is probably that whining hissing sound which is the waste gate and you won't be able to create that without a turbo lol. If i were you i would just save my money because there isn't much horsepower to be generated by adding a new exhaust kit on unless you go all out. If you want that "intake" sound add a cold air intake, it only adds a tincy bit of hp at high rpm's but on some of them you can hear that wooshing sound.

The Borla exhaust with Magnaflow resonator that was installed by the previous owner on my Xa sounds great. Nice and deep with now fart can effect. It does have a resonance at 70 mph though. Slower or faster it goes away. Have you found a turbo kit for the Xa? I've toyed with the idea of looking for one.
