2006 Scion xA question!?

I've had my 2006 Scion xA for almost two years now, about a year ago my iPod stopped playing and I've been desperately trying to figure out why. I also heard that sometimes something to do with the input jack gets pushed down and you can take apart the center consul and fix it? Also, if you do have a Scion xA, what kind of iPod cord do you use? Thank you.

Make sure that your i pod is working correctly.and you can use a 3.5m jack for teh i pod.
