my 2006 Scion tC's whistling noise?

My tC makes a whistling noise when I accelerate. What exactly is it?

its the intake sucking in air...sounds like a supercharger...if you really want it to sound good. put a cold air intake on it...it will whistle when you accelerate and when you really get on it, it will roar pretty good.
also adds couple hps and gas mileage.

the car engine is designed to make this noise, its a cool factor, my 07 tc does this too!
