so ive had my scion for about a month and a half now. i just went to the car wash on wed. and as soon as i went to get back in to start the car it was hessitant but it did start. (never happend before) later that night i went to start it again and it didnt start at all so AAA came out with jumper cables and got it started. ever since then its been starting BUT never right away. its not making a clicking sound, its the sound like its going to start but verrrry slow and hessitant still. im not sure if my battery is almost dead (maybe has a short) or if its something else. HELP!

no clicking sound = the starter or the ignition coil.
are you sure its the battery? to me, since there isn't a clicking sound it could be that the starter needs to be replaced. the reason why it started when triple A jumped it for you is because that extra voltage forced the starter to turn = the car started up. the battery could be fine, or it could not be. check out the voltage. if it's not at the proper level then replace it and see if it still isn't working. if the battery is fine, then it is most likely the starter or the ignition coil.
if you don't work on cars yourself and don't have anybody near you who does, take it into triple A and ask them to do a diagnostics test on your car. they'll tell you whats wrong and are usually pretty friendly and up front about it. not always, but usually.

many popular auto stores like bennet and auto zone will do a free diagnosis for you to see whether it is something as simple as a battery or something more in depth...hopefully its just the battery.
