Me and my friend were bleeding my brakes w/o a power bleeder and after we finished the brakes have gone so mushy it's become much too dangerous to drive.

We suspect that air has most likely gotten into the brake system. Now my question is, is there anyway to fix our mistake without using a power bleeder? If so how? If not, what is the best thing to do to fix it ourselves?

-edit-
We have a power bleeder, but it doesn't work with the Scion tC brake fluid cap.

ANY help on this would be useful.

have your friend pump your brakes while you crack open the line on each brake caliper. have him pump the pedal until fluid comes out the line then tighten the line back up. then fill the brake fluid resevior

it sounds like air alright. just keep bleeding it. start with the wheel farthest away from the master cylinder first.

yes, rebleed the brakes. start at the corner farthest from the brake cap/manifold.

pump until its hard. then open the bleeder valve. then pump again, open bleeder, pump again. do this at least 5 X. then move to the next farthest from manifold, rinse and repeat.

you just have to keep at it

Hi There
You've introduced air into the system Follow the link below that should solve your problems. I've never trusted either pressure or especially Vacumn bleeders they can colapse M/cyl cups thus allow air into the system
