NOT WORTH IT. we have done about a dozen of these TRD superchargers... waste of money if you ask me.

i tend to read all reviews on superchargers, and of all of them i would think the option you are considering....is the worst.

high cost about $3500 plus the really high toyota shop rates....and for what ? 40hp and after doing some searching i am not even sure that is 40 rwhp (real stuff) or 40 hp at the crank. 1st question what are you after power, get go or?

(anyway way back when i had a celica 1st/last toyota -cured me and came to understand the toyota underpowered ways....with the exception of the supra everything else has been pretty meek - so why expect more from a toyota blower. toyota afterall really wants above all to provide dependability not performance).

so if you want to enhance your performance and this install will not do it - you really are going to have to go out of the box and consider other blower or turbocharged options and generally for small bore high revving engines a turbo is a better option (if you want can send you the tech on this)......

but i assume like most toyota owners you do not want to k.o. your warranty (my cobra warranty was ko`d in 1st 18 months).

summary spend large $ for 40 hp, or go for performance/fun or keep your drive as is....
